Spring flowers
Last week at Lulworth House Residential Care Home we were feeling the ‘springtime spirit’ and our residents took part in a flower arranging activity, creating lots of beautiful bouquets to bring a bit of colour and sunshine into every room.
Flower power is such a great mood lifter and it was lovely to see some of nature’s beautiful colours inside our Home!
Sensory beads
Following on from the colourful blooms, our residents have been experimenting with some multicoloured sensory tools: water beads, enriched with deliciously sweet essential oils.
Not everyone liked the slightly slimy sensation of the beads on the skin, however most of our residents had fun and engaged in different games such as hiding a bead in one hand and letting others guess where it was.
Some of our ladies and gents commented that the pretty colours reminded them of the scales of a tropical fish!
Definitely the prelude for some more colourful activities come the summer time!
