Baking
Last week our lovely resident Janet at Lulworth House Residential Care Home helped to make chocolate cornflake cakes with marshmallows and cherries.
Janet has always loved our Baking Club and is great at stirring ingredients together.
She really enjoyed the smell of the melted chocolate whilst we were stirring and the finished cakes looked fantastic and tasted delicious!
Recycling month
September marked ‘Recycling Month‘ and here at Lulworth House we held a picture quiz about different materials and how to recycle them correctly.
We talked about climate change and how it is impacting our lives and how important it is that everyone contributes to saving our planet.
Our residents and staff then had fun with stickers – proclaiming themselves ‘eco-warriors’!
Parachute games
We’ve also enjoyed some parachute games recently and Michaela from our Activities Team was having a great time joining in.
Even at 102 Betty was keen to take part and was asking if we were doing it right and copying our whoops of joy when the balloon stayed on the parachute!
