We had a week packed with sweet-treat making last week at Lulworth House Residential Care Home.
Our Nourishment and Social Wellness Coordinator, Katja, baked shortbreads, decorated biscuits with French flag icing and made Rice Krispy cakes with our residents.
“We made shortbread on Monday. Monica was down from her room and enjoyed stirring the mixture with me – until her arms started to ache – then Rita and Sandy stepped up to help out! French flag making was on Tuesday, when we added coloured icing to malted milk biscuits – perfect for our Bastille day celebrations. On Wednesday we made marshmallow Rice Krispy cakes. John doesn’t usually join in with activities so I was so pleased that he helped with mixing the marshmallows and Rice Krispies together!”
