Have you ever accidentally made too much cake? Katja, our Nourishment and Social Wellness Coordinator at Lulworth House Residential Care Home has (on many occasions!) and this time she brought some in to decorate at work for our staff.
She also used the ‘off cuts’ to make cake truffles – sometimes called cake pops – for our residents.
Janet was keen to get involved and loved getting her hands dirty rolling the cake crumbs mixed with icing into balls, which she then helped cover in white chocolate and decorations.
This activity gave Katja and Janet some great ideas – mini cake truffle pumpkins for Halloween and mini Christmas puddings with tiny holly decorations for December.
What a creative and delicious afternoon!
