Last week was packed with different Baking Club activities here at Lulworth House Residential Care Home.
Doreen and Nourishment and Social Wellness Coordinator Katja made some marshmallow fluff and chocolate digestive biscuits for a sneaky snack with afternoon tea which were enjoyed by lots of our residents!
Marie and Jean enjoyed mixing up some cheerio bark which got snapped up once cold and nibbled on.
And Anne and Katja enjoyed decorating the top of some Swiss rolls with chocolate and sprinkles. Yummy!
And for some savoury action, we ran a Tortilla Pizza Lab and got a group of our residents to make up their own pizzas.
The creations were brilliant! We had ‘Colin’s Ham and Cheese‘, ‘Frank’s Plain Cheese’ and ‘Sue’s Pineapple and Salami’! Marie’s carefully placed her toppings on her pizza, whilst Sheila mixed hers up as she didn’t know what she wanted, so decided to add everything on!
Such great fun and creativity creating all these tasty treats and the icing on the cake was our new tablecloths to match our duck egg blue chairs. Perfect!
