Creative crafts
To mark the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch last week, our residents at Lulworth House Residential Care Home enjoyed a colourful and creative craft activity inspired by the birds we love to watch in our garden.
Using the outlines of their hands as a starting point, our residents carefully drew around their hands before cutting them out, along with additional shapes for wings, heads and feet. Brightly coloured card was used to bring each design to life, with pieces assembled and finished off with fun googly eyes.
We displayed our completed bird pictures along our the corridors, creating a cheerful showcase of creativity for everyone to enjoy. It was a lovely way to celebrate nature, colour and imagination – and to share our appreciation for the birds that visit our garden.
Lego building
Continuing the fun, we celebrated National Lego Day this month by building some colourful creations from bricks including a house, a tree and a giraffe. To make it even sweeter, our residents enjoyed some lego jelly sweets, which went down a treat!
