Creative arts and crafts at Lulworth House Residential Care Home

Last week our residents at Lulworth House Residential Care Home enjoyed participating in a selection of arts and crafts activities.

Origami village

After having so much fun creating paper fans during the heat wave, we decided to make our very own paper village and origami tree.

Our residents dabbled in folding paper into different shapes and drawing precise details, to the backdrop of ABBA music.

As we were having so much fun, we elected a ‘Dancing Queen and King’ for the day, offering them both origami paper crowns. Our residents loved them! Bettina and Bob were the lucky ones and had big smiles on their faces.

We absolutely love the look of our origami tree in front of our windows!

Clay and playdough

Also as part of last week’s arts and crafts activities, our residents at Lulworth House enjoyed getting creative with clay and natural elements, as well as colourful playdough.

Using stamps, seeds, buttons, cords and beads, they created abstract and real-life items, which we’ll leave to dry, then paint and eventually add to our fairy garden collection.
