Silent disco fun
We’ve been having our own little silent discos recently at Lulworth House Residential Care Home.
Our residents have had fun putting on headphones and choosing their favourite songs – having a little boogie and sing-along to the music.
We’ve chatted about how it’s so different listening to music in headphones, as opposed to out loud, as you can connect more with the music since it’s so focused in the ears. We had a selection of music from the Platters, Elvis and ABBA.
This was a great way to get those residents involved who may be a bit harder of hearing; it was great to see them having a boogie and joining in!
Puzzle perfection
We wanted to share this wonderful photo of our lovely resident Mags doing a puzzle of a puppy, with our beautiful Christmas tree in the background. She looks so pleased at the finished jigsaw – what a perfect scene!
