We enjoyed a range of activities last week with our residents at Lulworth House Residential Care Home, with a highlight being our Hollywood party on Friday.
Our ladies and gents were treated to some pampering from our team members Emily and Heather in the week, who put on a lovely hairdressing day experience for our residents who were keen to look their best for the upcoming Hollywood festivities.
We’ve been hard at work outside in our garden whilst the weather has been so nice; weeding, watering and potting new plants to enjoy in the coming months.
Arts and crafts
We have been making decorations for our Hollywood party and a new poster to show our support to anyone who may be feeling lonely, featuring the words ‘You are not alone, even when you feel lonely’. We have also made some pretty paper collage daffodils, which look lovely on display.
St Georges Day
On Thursday 23 April we celebrated St George Day with a quiz and a group chat which was a lovely way to bring everyone together and get our brains ticking!
New York Hollywood Style BBQ Party
On Friday 24 April we hosted our American-style party to bring us all together in a fun and uplifting way. We were well prepared with decorations, which we had been making all week with Chrissi and other members of the staff team.
We started the party with an American tea morning and group chat, followed by a lovely BBQ lunch in the garden with music, singing and dancing. After lunch we were delighted to try original American sweets and of course popcorn from our specially decorated sweets trolley!
We had such a good time together, chatting, laughing and taking photos, we all thoroughly enjoyed the happy atmosphere.
