Last week here at Lulworth House Residential Care Home we enjoyed a week full of celebrations for the Big Platinum Jubilee!
Our staff, residents and some of our lovely families helped with our bunting and decorating our garden and lounges with balloons, Union Jacks, paper chains and so much more. It looked wonderful!
Everyone enjoyed a range of activities throughout each day, including watching the Jubilee parades and services on television, as well as engaging in royals activities and games including themed quizzes, ‘Pin the diamond on the crown‘ and ‘Guess who?’ – royal edition.
Our ladies indulged in pampering sessions with jewellery, while our gents enjoyed military marches on the spot and around the House!
Singer Kevin Walsh opened our celebrations with an amazing musical performance and our guests enjoyed a glass of Prosecco with lemonade and raspberry.
To conclude our Jubilee celebrations, our residents were invited to a special cream tea party, where we served finger sandwiches, a variety of sweet treats, fresh fruits and our red, white and blue tiered Jubilee cake, complete with chocolate corgis!
What a fantastic week of celebration!
