We were delighted to celebrate two members of our Lulworth House Residential Care Home team last month, as they were presented with Nellsar long service awards.
Our Nutrition Lead Katja has worked at Lulworth House for 20 years and has enjoyed a variety of roles within our Home. She started as a Carer with us, then worked up to a Senior Carer position. She then moved into our Activities Team and stepped up to work as a Chef in our kitchen for a while. She has also worked some stand-in shifts throughout her time at Lulworth, to cover those in the laundry and kitchen teams. She currently runs a regular Baking Club with our residents and is famed for her beautifully decorated cakes!
Lesley has worked in our laundry department for the last five years and has been a valued member of the team. She goes above and beyond in her role, even making repairs to residents’ clothes in her own time. We cannot thank her enough for the dedication she has shown to her role and our residents.
Katja and Lesley were presented with their long service certificates by our Home Manager Catherine and Operations and Compliance Manager Torie – Katja being dressed up for our Greek-themed activities!
Catherine commented, “Katja brightens our residents’ day with her smile, and Lesley is such a great team member and always the life and soul of the party! A huge thank you to them both for their hard work and enthusiasm, and congratulations for reaching these wonderful long service milestones.”
