On Saturday 5 April we had a brilliant morning at Lulworth House Residential Care Home with the Wishing Hearts mobile charity shop!
We collected secondhand clothing and accessories and invited residents, friends, families and team members to come and have some retail therapy.
One of our residents had a really lovely time browsing, commenting, “This really livened me up!”. It was lovely to see that even though our female residents are older, they still love a bit of girly time and doing some shopping together.
We also held a raffle and our lovely Joan won a large gift hamper – she was so pleased with her chocolate eggs.
The best bit about the day was that it raised funds for the Wishing Hearts charity; we were thrilled to collect an impressive £110 from our shopping sales and raffle.
