Lulworth House Residential Care Home residents enjoy Easter activities

While we are on lockdown we have been busy with activities here at Lulworth House Residential Care Home, to make sure our residents are happy and entertained.

We’ve enjoyed lots of Easter-themed fun, including decorating Easter bonnets as well as our Home with some colourful eggs and bunnies – we love our Easter tree!

We got out our paints and made a ‘Safety Begins With Teamwork‘ sign to put up in our garden, as a reminder how we’ll all get through these difficult times by pulling together. The banner features handprints from our staff and residents.

And with this beautiful Easter weather, our ladies and gents have been making the most of our garden – either potting plants or simply enjoying the sun. Our sun hats were at the ready!

Jigsaws have also been popular and we hosted a special church service on Good Friday morning too – so we didn’t miss out during lockdown.

On Saturday we came together for some Easter baking – yummy chocolate cornflake cakes were the order of the day, decorated with chocolate bunnies, sprinkles and golden eggs! During the afternoon we held an Easter party in our garden, with drinks and singing under blues skies which was wonderful.

On Easter Sunday we gave all our residents Easter eggs and put on an egg hunt for them which they thoroughly enjoyed. We also had a ‘Feed the Bunny’ game which was great fun – throwing carrots into a cardboard bunny…trickier than it looks!

Happy Easter to all our friends and families.
