Baking Club
Our Baking Club at Lulworth House Residential Care Home is proving very popular and on Monday we had a go at making some chess board cookies together, which have an eye-catching two-tone design.
Mixing all the ingredients together was definitely a group effort, with Judith telling us she was known as ‘whisk wrist‘ so we didn’t need to use the electric whisk! We all enjoyed lots of giggles and banter during the session, making up middle names for each other!
Our cookies had to be chilled in a log shape before being cut into slices for baking.
We were excited to taste the fruits of our labour with a nice tea or coffee in the afternoon.
Ready for brekkie!
Our resident Sheila recently enjoyed making her own breakfast.
She spread thick marmalade on her toast and liked them cut into rectangles not triangles! Perfect!
