Festive crafts
This week our Lulworth House Residential Care Home residents have been getting crafty making a wonderful Christmas Nutcracker decoration for our Home. They painted the boxes, cut out shapes for his eyes, eyebrows, moustache and shoulder cuffs, plus string for his hair.
We were all delighted with how he turned out and our handsome nutcracker soldier is now in full display in our reception area for everyone to admire.
Christmas service and singing
Continuing the festivities this week, we have had a lovely visit from Allington Baptist Church members who gave a Christmas service for us. They read passages, said prayers and sang hymns together with Sally playing the keyboard. We were also joined by the Osmotherly family for our yearly ‘Osmotherly Christmas Jingle‘, singing songs together with our residents, followed by an afternoon of mulled wine and mince pie tarts which went down a treat!
Tea party
On Tuesday our residents were invited to the Wishing Hearts Charity Christmas Tea Party where they enjoyed a lovely buffet, live entertainment and a raffle. They sang and danced the afternoon away!
