It’s been another busy and heartwarming week at Lulworth House Residential Care Home. On Wednesday 12 November, our residents rolled up their sleeves to help peel and chop fresh vegetables for a delicious homemade slow-cooker soup. Everyone worked brilliantly together, and the result was a hearty soup that was enjoyed by all – thank you to our wonderful helpers.
In the afternoon, we celebrated World Kindness Day with a thoughtful and creative activity. Our residents wrote special messages on colourful paper hearts to share kind words with nearby friends and team members. The heartfelt notes were then displayed in our corridor together, creating a beautiful wall of kindness.
Some of the lovely messages included:
“You are a lovely lady!”
“Don’t know what we would do without you!”
“You have a beautiful smile!”
“You always help others when needed!”
To round off the week, on Saturday our residents enjoyed an arts and crafts morning, painting stunning autumnal tree scenes using cotton bud and sponge techniques. The rich oranges, yellows and greens captured the beauty of the season perfectly – a wonderful burst of creativity from our talented artists!
