Our residents at Lulworth House Residential Care Home were enthusiastic last week as they actively competed in our ‘Lulworth Volley Balloon Olympics’.
The event was fun, exciting, engaging and uplifting, livening up the whole room with laughter! The experience bonded our residents together as a team and as friends.
It was so lovely to see such great team sportsmanship and lots of laughter.
One resident was enjoying herself so much she said “That was so good, I’m going to laugh myself to sleep tonight!”
Another of our residents couldn’t use his arms actively, so he joined in with a ‘header’ instead. We’d never seen such ingenuity using a ‘header’ in volleyball – so we all sang ‘For he’s a jolly good fellow‘ to him.
