During the past week, our residents have enjoyed mocktail making with Michela and Katja at Lulworth House Residential Care Home.
Some of our ladies had fun putting together straws and ornaments in our fancy cocktail glasses and jars, as well as pouring and mixing juices to create delicious mocktails.
During the activity we discussed holidays, favourite beverages and our different tastes. Once the drinks were ready, they were wheeled on our Hawaiian style trolley around our Home for everyone to enjoy. Our ladies and gents loved sitting in our lounge, sampling the freshly made mocktails of their choice while listening to tropical ukulele music. Perfect!
Sea shells and sensory baskets containing maracas, flower necklaces and other colourful materials were displayed on tables for everyone to explore.
What fills your cup with joy?
Our residents have also been engaging in a one-to-one arts and crafts and reminiscence activity, we called “What fills your cup with joy?“.
Everyone shared their interests and passions in small groups and got to know each other even better, and then created some wonderful collages to highlight their favourite things. We displayed them in our memory boxes and around our Home.
