To celebrate Onam, members of our dedicated team at Lulworth House Residential Care Home came in during their own time to prepare a fabulous feast, featuring an array of delicious curries, puddings, and sweet treats. Onam is a traditional harvest festival from the Indian state of Kerala, marking a time of joy, community, and cultural celebration.
Our lounge was transformed with bright, colourful decorations to create a truly vibrant atmosphere, and our team members all looked wonderful in their beautiful sarees.
In the afternoon, families joined us for the festivities — enjoying the traditional dishes, taking part in games, dancing, music, and creating colourful pookalams (flower designs).
The event was a wonderful way to come together, and both our residents and families shared how much they enjoyed the day.
