Christmas cards
Christmas time is a special time of year to spend time with loved ones and send cards to family and friends to let them know you’re thinking of them. Many residents here at Lulworth House Residential Care Home have received some lovely Christmas cards from their family and we make sure to read them to our residents who struggle to do so on their own.
Person-centred care underpins all that we do for our residents and little gestures such as reading out a card and making sure they can see the pretty Christmas scenes on the front is the least can we do during this festive season.
Sensory Massage and Christmas Hymns
Whilst recently giving a resident a relaxing massage, our Recreation and Well-Being Champion Tracy chatted to her about Christmas. Mentioning that she liked the hymn ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’, Tracy played the festive favourite to our lady and made her very happy by singing along with her.
