With such a warm spell of weather recently, our Nourishment and Social Wellness Coordinator Katja has been making slushy cold fruit drinks and her famous iced coffees for our Lulworth House Residential Care Home residents.
Our residents enjoyed the nice cold drinks, and the iced coffee is always a big hit with our staff so she always makes sure she has plenty for our teams to have on their breaks. She tracks down everyone, including our Manager, cleaners and handyman, to make sure they all get one, as hydration is so important in hot weather.
Katja has also enjoyed making some deliciously chocolatey millionaire shortbreads with some of our residents recently – and with the leftover caramel and chocolate they decorated some digestives! Double yum!
Anne kindly helped out by cleaning the tables after breakfast and tidying up crockery and cutlery on to a trolley to send to our kitchen for washing up. Thanks Anne!
