Our residents at Lulworth House Residential Care Home recently took part in a heart-warming baking session as part of the Cake4Kindness initiative. Together, they rolled up their sleeves to bake a delicious batch of vanilla cupcakes – each one made with care.
Cake4Kindness is a wonderful community project that spreads joy through the simple act of baking. It encourages people to make and share sweet treats as a way to promote kindness and connection within the community.
The following day, our residents decorated their cupcakes beautifully before they were delivered to Lily Smith House – a local service that provides accommodation and support for vulnerable homeless adults aged 18 and over, with complex support needs.
We were warmly welcomed by some of the gentlemen supported by Lily Smith House, who took the time to chat with us and express their appreciation for the gesture. It was a truly uplifting experience, and our residents were delighted to know their cakes brought smiles to others.
