Keeping fit with Erica
On Tuesday 3 January, our residents spent a lively morning exercising with Erica from Art Point here at Lulworth House Residential Care Home. Using props such as roses and pom-poms, everyone joined in with love-themed music during an early Valentine’s-inspired session, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
A tribute to Eileen
In the afternoon, we came together to celebrate the life of our much-loved resident Eileen who we lovingly remembered following her passing at the end of last year. Eileen joined us at Lulworth House in March 2024 and was a cherished part of our community.
The tribute began with ‘Come On Eileen‘, a song she often sang while on the move and one that brought back many fond memories.
Our ladies and gents shared some of Eileen’s favourite things, including tea and biscuits, cherryade and cheeseburgers. We said a prayer and read a touching poem entitled ‘Overflow‘. We also listened to music by one of Eileen’s favourite artists, Engelbert Humperdinck, who she would often describe as ‘a very beautiful man‘.
It was a very special tribute to a wonderful lady who will continue to be held fondly in the hearts of our residents and team members.
