We enjoyed a fantastic week of Baking Club activities at Lulworth House Residential Care Home last week, 13-17 July.
On Monday, Anne helped our Nourishment and Social Wellness Coordinator Katja to make chocolate covered marshmallows for a cheeky snack on the tea trolley. As you might expect, they didn’t last long!
We had a surprise mocktail making session on Tuesday, where Katja gave our residents a selection of ingredients and they told her what to add to the jug! It turned out really tasty and everyone enjoyed sampling it.
Wednesday saw us icing Alan’s birthday cake and making an edible apple topper out of Rice Krispie squares wrapped in icing, as he’s always enjoyed trips to New York.
On Thursday our residents enjoyed making record-shaped biscuits ready for our rock ‘n roll party on Friday!
At the party, Katja ran a milkshake stand which our residents had decorated. We had strawberry and chocolate flavour milkshakes on offer, and even a soya chocolate option for Sandy who is lactose intolerant. So everyone got to enjoy them. Yummy!
