Keeping in touch
The last few weeks have been challenging for our residents and families at Lulworth House Residential Care Home, so to keep in touch, we decided to bring back an almost lost art: letter writing!
We wrote a letter to fellow residents we couldn’t see, as well as writing to family and friends, hoping to see them soon.
Residents commented how lovely it was being able to express themselves on paper – plus it was a good exercise for everyone’s wrists!
Music making
We’ve also recently enjoyed a musical afternoon at Lulworth. Our residents enjoyed some classic sing-along tunes, accompanied by musical instruments.
We all had fun experimenting with different instruments including shakers and tambourines, as well as making music using our bodies and objects around us!
Word search fun
Last Sunday was ‘World Word Search Day‘. To celebrate, we organised a word search competition in our Home. Our residents and Carers were excited to participate.
We had lots of fun finding words and had delicious chocolate afterwards. Good times!
