Last weekend, we celebrated World Earth Day at Lulworth House Residential Care Home.
Earth Day is celebrated on 22 April every year and is also known as International Mother Earth Day. The day aims to spread awareness about issues including pollution, global warming and deforestation, which harm the environment and result in the destruction of our planet.
We put our knowledge to the test with a quiz all about the earth and a discussion on how we can all do our bit to help protect the earth, oceans and our future generations.
This was followed by some colouring and arts and crafts, to make an Earth Day display to raise awareness and remind everyone to be aware of how we can best look after our planet.
