Lulworth House Residential Care Home residents enjoy outings together

Trip to Notcutts

On Wednesday 6 March we took a group of our Lulworth House Residential Care Home residents to our local Notcutts garden centre to have a look around at all the beautiful flowers and have a spot of lunch.

It was an early birthday trip for our resident Valerie who enjoyed ham, egg and chips for her lunch – she said it was delicious!

We got our thinking caps on for the flowers we’d like to plant this year and will definitely be planting pansies, sunflowers and chives.

Kent History and Library Centre

We’ve also recently visited the Kent History and Library Centre to see some of their archive films all about the history of Maidstone and how everything has changed.

We have a few residents who have lived and worked in Maidstone all their lives, so they really enjoyed watching the films and spotting the places that they used to visit. It was great to sit and appreciate how much Maidstone has grown since the 1960s.

One resident knew so much about Maidstone that the library team started making notes to include in future previews of the films! It was a bonus that they kindly provided tea and biscuits for everyone.

Thank you to the staff for making us feel so welcome.
