On Saturday 16 September, we held our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning here at Lulworth House Residential Care Home.
All our residents, staff and relatives were invited to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, enjoy some delicious cakes and play some games with us. Our dining room was beautifully decorated with Macmillan bunting, balloons and table decor and there was a huge selection of tempting cakes including brownies, cupcakes and lemon drizzle. Delicious!
We set up a spread of cakes which were kindly donated by our staff and relatives. A special thank you to Katja for making the brilliant teapot shaped cake and decorating mini cupcakes – they looked fantastic! Visitors had a chance to win the teapot cake by guessing the number of Colin the caterpillars faces on the sheet; the person with the closest number won the cake, what a treat!
We are still unsure of how much was raised in total, as we are awaiting more donations, but we are sure we can make a difference with whatever we raise. It is such a great cause and everyone was keen to support it.
