Last week our Nourishment and Social Wellness Coordinator Katja made some lovely jam tarts with resident Moira at Lulworth House Residential Care Home. It’s Moira’s favourite activity to join in with, and she always enjoys licking the spoons at the end!
Katja also made some colourful cake toppers with our residents using rolled icing which she’d brought in for her daughter Edith’s Minecraft-themed 8th birthday cake. They made gaming figures to decorate the cake, including a pig, cow and some explosives!
Edith was thrilled that all the ladies had helped to make them for her and loved her cake! With lockdown measures in place, she couldn’t come in to see everyone, but Katja showed them all photos of her and her family enjoying the cake at their ‘socially distanced garden pizza party’.
The residents were really proud of themselves and how it turned out!
