Pancake Day
We had a wonderful selection of toppings for our pancakes on Shrove Tuesday here at Lulworth House Residential Care Home.
Our residents could choose from strawberries and cream, caramel drizzle, lemon and sugar and Nutella! The strawberries and cream combination was definitely a firm favourite!
Sue thought she would celebrate the occasion with her funky hat which made us laugh – we think we need to make funny hats a Pancake Day tradition!
Nutella pizzas
To celebrate World Nutella Day on Monday 5 February, we made some Nutella pizzas topped with strawberries and cream. Our residents were a bit apprehensive about the sweet and savoury mix, but Nutella goes with everything, so they came round to the idea!
Our ladies and gents helped to make the dough from scratch, cut the strawberries and then roll out the dough, so everyone got involved in creating these tempting treats.
What a delicious day!
