This week we used a new approach to our painting session here at Lulworth House Residential Care Home.
Rather than our residents free-styling themselves, we brought in a Kew Gardens painting book to help them focus on copying detail. Where an individual struggled with their sight, we outlined the detail to maintain their focus and direction.
The session was helpful in welcoming a new resident into our Home. She hadn’t painted in years, but surprised herself how well she did and really enjoyed the social introduction, which was wonderful to see.
Another relaxing, therapeutic and friendly painting session, thoroughly enjoyed by all who took part.
