We held a delicious cheese and wine tasting session here at Lulworth House Residential Care Home on Thursday 29 June.
We presented our residents with a variety of wines and a charcuterie board filled with cheeses, grapes, olives and crackers. We offered a variety of cheeses including smoked applewood, feta, brie, Wensleydale cranberry, almond and pineapple cheese and double Gloucester.
The wines included red, white and rose wine. Our residents were also given a table which allowed them to rate the cheeses and wines from 1-5. A popular cheese was brie and many residents also loved a glass of rose!
This was a lovely afternoon filled with lots of conservation as residents talked about their favourite foods and gave suggestions on what we should try next time. We will definitely be doing more tasting afternoons in the future!
