On Wednesday 6 September our residents had fun creating firework art in celebration of Brazilian Independence Day here at Lulworth House Residential Care Home.
We talked a little and learnt about this day, including what they do in Brazil to celebrate it; the day is marked with military parades and patriotic performances during the day and fireworks at night in major cities.
This was such a fun and different activity to do. We used the cardboard insides of toilet rolls and cut the end of them, to dip in different colours of paint and made firework shaped prints. We added glitter to make it more fun and sparkle.
Our creativity worked well and we produced some stunning paintings that we’re very proud of!
