Throughout this past week, our residents at Lulworth House Residential Care Home have been getting ready for summer – despite the weather!
Monday 23 May marked the beginning of our ‘Holiday Camp Week‘ and our ladies and gents gathered to share personal memories and experiences of past holidays. In the background we played relaxing sounds from the ocean (while the rain came down outside!).
Some of our residents brought to memory the competitions that were held during Summer Camps, so we launched our very own set of competitions! We challenged each other in pretend-swimming, the best summer dress and ‘the most exotic holiday taken‘, among others. Winners in each category were presented with a medal, which they have been wearing very proudly!
Our creative residents enjoyed painting postcards, both from their favourite places and what surrounds us now. We then created a keepsake scrapbook to share with others our activities and achievements.
