Lulworth House Residential Care Home residents enjoy outings and a Garden Party

We’ve been keeping our residents busy, with a packed social calendar here at Lulworth House Residential Care Home.

Fun and games

We enjoyed a visit from our local children’s nursery and had fun with the children playing balloon volleyball, which was great fun, creating quite a buzz. You are never too young or old to love a balloon game!

We also got out in our garden to enjoy some table skittles, which is harder than it looks and requires some god hand-eye coordination!

Leeds Castle Trip

Last Thursday morning a group of our ladies went out on a trip to Leeds Castle. The weather was lovely and they enjoyed a boat trip and lunch with a wonderful view of the Castle.

Leeds Castle is a very popular place to visit, especially at this time of year when the gardens at stunning. They also have a birds sanctuary in the grounds and we were lucky enough to see a beautiful peacock.

Trip to Maidstone

On Friday 24 May our ladies and gentlemen went out for a trip to town. We walk by the river Medway, stopped for tea and coffee and then continued our walk to the pub in town centre. In Wetherspoons we all enjoyed hearty fish and chips for lunch, which went down a treat! Our residents commented that they had had a great day out in a sun, which was lovely to hear.

Garden Party and Hog Roast

We hosted a fantastic residents garden party, with a BBQ and hog roast, on Saturday 25 May here at Lulworth House. We decorated our garden with bunting, readied our garden games and stacked our drinks trolley in preparation!

We had table tennis and golf to keep our residents and guests active, as well as Country and Western musical entertainment – with our ladies doing some fantastic dance moves!

We had great weather for the party and it was super to be out in the sun with family and friends.
