We welcomed a new resident to Lulworth House Residential Care Home this week, who had travelled from London.
We introduced her to our other residents through our craft session which featured an old London song ‘Show Me The Way To Go Home‘ – she was very enthusiastic as she taught her new friends the words!
We focused on the words in the song ‘Over Land or Sea or Foam‘ to give focus to the crafts we were creating – sea scapes which combined thread material, cotton wool and plants to full effect.
At the end of the craft session we agreed that every good home is made up of lovely people and that’s why today we were celebrating our special Home with all these lovely people.
The resident smiled and said ‘Brilliant!’.
