On Monday 8th August our residents at at Lulworth House Residential Care Home really enjoyed making fairy gardens for them to sell at our fete on the Saturday 12 August.
Our ladies and gentlemen picked out which plants they wanted to put in the planters and planted them, and then covered the soil with different coloured gravel; some used black gravel, others blue or pink and some decided to make them more colourful using two different colours.
We had an array of different fairies and fairy furniture to use in the gardens and they were arranged in the planters. Our residents had great fun doing this outside even though the great British weather was doing it’s best to discourage them by being extremely windy! They were really pleased with how effective the fairy gardens look and want to make more this week before the fete on Saturday.
