Pumpkin farm trip and carving pumpkins
Our residents at Lulworth House Residential Care Home enjoyed a trip out to Spadeworks in West Malling last week to the pumpkin farm. We were amazed by the hundreds of different types of pumpkins on offer!
It was fun and educational as we learnt that we could make cupcakes from a particular pumpkin and chips from another! After making our selection, we enjoyed a warming cup of tea and a spiced pumpkin cookie in the café.
We couldn’t wait to get the pumpkins home and get baking and carving. Our lovely Val won the drawing competition to have her pumpkin design carved out on one of the pumpkins that we picked on our trip to the pumpkin farm; it was great seeing her design come to life!
